Orchis came to our herd with the second group. Prior to the herd splitting in two, she had the number two position behind Bailey. When she arrived back with Baileys half, she still had status, but didn’t really act as a number two goat. Little did we know she was an expecting mother. She gave birth to two girls and a boy on January 12th. Mini, Salsa and Rusty.

Once Orchis became a mother, she has not taken a leadership role with the herd. She is an excellent mother, and is a backup on the referee team.

When she came to the herd she was mothering/protecting Annie, who was orphaned the day before we got her. She knew Annies mother was sick and helped care for her along with Saturn and Hillaria.
