Izzy

Izzy, which is not short for anything, was eight to 12 weeks old when we got her. Oriana, her mother was very protective of her as her other babies were sold to someone else. So she was wary of us when they came to live at our farm. Kids learn from their parents, and if mama is nervous, so are the kids. However, once we started to spend a lot of
time with them, Izzy became very curious. We would put chairs under the oak tree at the bottom of the hill to sit with the goats, and it wasn’t long before Izzy started to steal your seat once you got up.

Pretty soon after, if she was upstairs in the enclosure, she would jump on my back if I bent to pet one of the other goats.
